This verse invites us to compare what passes and what remains.
And whatever thing you have been given - it is only the enjoyment of worldly life and its adornment. And what is with Allah is better and more lasting; so will you not use reason?
Quran, Al-Qasas 28:60
The verse reminds us that the goods of this world are a passing pleasure and a decoration. It does not condemn them, but it puts them in perspective. What is with Allah is better and more lasting. The next verse shows that the one who receives a beautiful promise from Allah is not like the one who only enjoys this life. Every day, we make choices between the quick and the solid. This verse helps us stay on course: invest in what truly matters, without despising what we have.
Today, choose one action useful for the hereafter: a kind word, a help given, a moment of Quran reading.
