النُّصْرَةُ
Faced with corruption, Lot turns to Allah and asks for His support.
قَالَ رَبِّ ٱنصُرۡنِي عَلَى ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ
He said, “My Lord, support me against the corrupting people.”
Quran, Al-Ankabut 29:30
In this verse, the Prophet Lot, confronted with a people committing reprehensible acts, does not respond with violence. He invokes Allah: “My Lord, support me against the corrupting people.” He acknowledges that only Allah can grant victory over injustice. This supplication teaches us to turn to Allah when we witness wrongs or feel powerless. We can ask Him to support us in staying firm and for truth to prevail.
Today, if you face injustice or a difficult situation, say this supplication: “Rabbi unsurnī ’alā l-qawmi l-mufsidīn” (My Lord, support me against the corrupting people).
