آيَةٌ بَيِّنَةٌ
This verse invites us to ponder the signs Allah leaves in history.
وَلَقَد تَّرَكۡنَا مِنۡهَآ ءَايَةَۢ بَيِّنَةٗ لِّقَوۡمٖ يَعۡقِلُونَ
And We have certainly left of it a sign as clear evidence for a people who use reason.
Quran, Al-Ankabut 29:35
In this verse, Allah mentions the city punished for its wickedness. He says He left a clear sign from it. This sign is for those who understand, meaning those who reflect. Today, we can meditate on the lessons of history. Whenever we see traces of the past, we can remind ourselves that Allah's justice is certain and that reflection leads to faith.
