الْآخِرَة
This verse invites us to look beyond the appearances of this world.
وَإِنَّ ٱلدَّارَ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةَ لَهِيَ ٱلۡحَيَوَانُۚ
And the home of the Hereafter is indeed the true life.
Quran, Al-Ankabut 29:64
Allah describes this worldly life as diversion and amusement. He then affirms that the home of the Hereafter is the true life. The verse does not say this world is worthless, but it clearly distinguishes it from the Hereafter. When we feel overwhelmed by daily concerns, this verse reminds us to keep in mind this greater reality. It invites us not to forget that our final home is elsewhere.
Take a minute to reflect on one aspect of your life that seems important, and ask yourself if it brings you closer to the true life.
