حَمْدٌ
This verse reminds us that all praise belongs to Allah, in the heavens and on earth.
وَلَهُ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
To Him is all praise throughout the heavens and the earth.
Quran, Ar-Rum 30:18
The verse states that all praise (ḥamd) belongs entirely to Allah, in the heavens and on earth. It also mentions specific times of the day: the afternoon and midday. These times are added to the evening and morning mentioned just before. Thus, we can praise Allah at different moments of our day, whether morning, noon, afternoon, or evening. Praise is not limited to one instant; it can accompany all our activities.
Today, take a moment to say 'Alhamdulillah' (praise be to Allah) three times, at different times of the day.
