الشُّكْر
This verse invites us to recognize Allah's signs in nature and to be grateful to Him.
وَمِنۡ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَن يُرۡسِلَ ٱلرِّيَاحَ مُبَشِّرَٰتٖ وَلِيُذِيقَكُم مِّن رَّحۡمَتِهِۦ وَلِتَجۡرِيَ ٱلۡفُلۡكُ بِأَمۡرِهِۦ وَلِتَبۡتَغُواْ مِن فَضۡلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُونَ
And of His signs is that He sends the winds as bringers of good tidings and to let you taste His mercy and so the ships may sail at His command and so you may seek of His bounty, and perhaps you will be grateful.
Quran, Ar-Rum 30:46
This verse brings together several signs of Allah: the sending of winds, the sailing of ships, and the seeking of His bounty. These elements show His mercy and power. The verse ends with an invitation to gratitude. In our daily lives, we can observe these signs around us. Whenever we see the wind blowing or a ship sailing, we can remember Allah's goodness and be thankful to Him.
Today, take a moment to observe the wind or a mode of transport, and say inwardly: 'Thank You, Allah, for Your mercy.'
