صِدْق
This verse describes believers whose sincerity towards Allah remained intact.
مِّنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ رِجَالٞ صَدَقُواْ مَا عَٰهَدُواْ ٱللَّهَ عَلَيۡهِۖ فَمِنۡهُم مَّن قَضَىٰ نَحۡبَهُۥ وَمِنۡهُم مَّن يَنتَظِرُۖ وَمَا بَدَّلُواْ تَبۡدِيلٗا
Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah. Some have fulfilled their vow, others await their chance, and they did not alter their commitment.
Quran, Al-Ahzab 33:23
This verse brings together two attitudes: some believers kept their commitment to the end, others are still waiting. They all share one quality: they did not change their promise. Their sincerity does not depend on time or circumstances. In our daily life, we make commitments to Allah, such as prayer or fasting. Sometimes enthusiasm fades. This verse invites us to remain constant, without changing our attitude, even when it is difficult.
Today, choose a simple commitment to Allah (like a morning supplication) and stick to it without altering it.
