The Greeting of Peace

This verse announces to the believers a greeting of peace on the day they meet Allah.

تَحِيَّتُهُمۡ يَوۡمَ يَلۡقَوۡنَهُۥ سَلَٰمٞۚ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرٗا كَرِيمٗا

Their greeting on the Day they meet Him will be 'Peace'; and He has prepared for them a noble reward.

Quran, Al-Ahzab 33:44

Verse 33:44 promises believers a special greeting: 'Peace' (salam) on the day they meet Allah. It also mentions a noble reward prepared for them. The previous verse reminds that Allah brings believers out of darkness into light, and the next addresses the Prophet ﷺ as a witness and bearer of good news.

This promise nurtures hope. While waiting for that day, cultivating inner peace and spreading peace around us may be a way to prepare ourselves to receive this greeting.
