قَوْلٌ سَدِيدٌ
This verse invites us to join piety with upright speech.
وَقُولُواْ قَوۡلٗا سَدِيدٗا
and speak words of appropriate justice
Quran, Al-Ahzab 33:70
In this verse, Allah addresses the believers. He asks them to fear Him and to utter just and sincere words. The word 'sadid' evokes speech that hits its mark, without evasion or deceit. The following verse shows that this upright speech leads to the improvement of deeds and the forgiveness of sins. In daily life, our words shape our relationships. Telling the truth with kindness, keeping promises, avoiding hurtful words: these are concrete ways to embody this uprightness. Every conversation becomes an opportunity to strengthen our faith.
Today, before speaking, ask yourself: is my word upright and useful? Choose one conversation and ensure every word is true and kind.
