الشكر
This verse invites us to turn our thankfulness into concrete actions.
ٱعۡمَلُوٓاْ ءَالَ دَاوُۥدَ شُكۡرٗاۚ وَقَلِيلٞ مِّنۡ عِبَادِيَ ٱلشَّكُورُ
"Work, O family of David, in gratitude." And few of My servants are grateful.
Quran, Saba 34:13
In this verse, Allah addresses the family of David after mentioning the skills and resources at their disposal. He asks them to work with gratitude, meaning to use these blessings in obedience and goodness. The verse also highlights that few servants are truly grateful. For us, this means gratitude is not limited to words. It shows in our actions: using our abilities and possessions to help others and to please Allah. Every day offers opportunities to demonstrate our thankfulness.
Today, perform a concrete act of gratitude, such as helping someone or using your talent for good.
