المَسْؤُولِيَّة
This verse reminds us that every person is responsible for their own actions.
قُل لَّا تُسۡـَٔلُونَ عَمَّآ أَجۡرَمۡنَا وَلَا نُسۡـَٔلُ عَمَّا تَعۡمَلُونَ
Say: "You will not be asked about our sins, nor will we be asked about what you do."
Quran, Saba 34:25
In this verse, Allah teaches the Prophet ﷺ a clear reply to those who argue. Believers will not be held accountable for the sins of others, and others will not be held accountable for theirs. Each person will answer for what they have done. This individual responsibility frees us from the fear of others' judgment. It invites us to focus on our own conduct, to correct our faults, and to improve our actions, without being overly concerned with what others do.
Today, before criticizing someone, take a moment to reflect on one action you can improve in your own life.
