This verse teaches us to seek reward only from Allah.
Say, "Whatever payment I might have asked of you - it is yours. My payment is only from Allah, and He is, over all things, Witness".
Quran, Saba 34:47
In this verse, the Prophet ﷺ clarifies that he asks no payment for conveying the message. If he asked for anything, it would be for the people themselves. His reward is only from Allah, who is Witness over all things. For us, this means our sincere actions should not expect recognition from others. Allah sees everything and it is He who rewards. We can act with pure intention, without seeking to please or be noticed.
Today, do a good deed secretly, without telling anyone, remembering that Allah alone is your Witness and Rewarder.
