تَجَارَة
This verse compares acts of faith to a trade whose profit is eternal.
يَرۡجُونَ تِجَٰرَةٗ لَّن تَبُورَ
they expect a trade that will never perish
Quran, Faatir 35:29
The verse brings together three actions: reciting the Book of Allah, establishing prayer, and spending from what Allah has provided, secretly and publicly. Those who do so expect a trade that will never perish. The following verse clarifies that Allah will give them their rewards in full and increase them from His bounty. In our daily lives, we can view our efforts of faith as an investment. Every recitation, every prayer, every donation is a value placed in a trade whose permanence Allah guarantees.
Today, recite a short chapter, perform a prayer, and give a small donation, hoping for this trade that never perishes.
