تَقْدِير
This verse invites us to contemplate the perfect order of the sun.
وَٱلشَّمۡسُ تَجۡرِي لِمُسۡتَقَرّٖ لَّهَاۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقۡدِيرُ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡعَلِيمِ
And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.
Quran, Yaseen 36:38
In this verse, Allah shows us that the sun follows a precise course, toward a place fixed by Him. This regularity is a proof of His power and His knowledge. The word 'taqdīr' here means the measure and order that Allah has established. When we see the sun rise and set each day, we can remember that Allah controls everything. This helps us trust Him and accept His plan for us.
Today, observe the sun or imagine its course, and say in your heart: 'Allah is the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.'
