آيَة
This verse invites us to recognize a blessing often forgotten.
وَءَايَةٞ لَّهُمۡ أَنَّا حَمَلۡنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡفُلۡكِ ٱلۡمَشۡحُونِ
And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers in a laden ship.
Quran, Yaseen 36:41
Allah reminds us here of a sign of His mercy: He carried the ancestors of humankind on a loaded ship. This journey allowed humanity to continue. This verse follows the mention of celestial orbits and precedes the creation of other means of transport. It thus combines gratitude for the sea and for the land. Today, we board cars, trains, or planes without thinking. Yet every trip is an opportunity to acknowledge Allah's goodness. Being grateful means using these means for good and remembering the One who facilitated them.
Today, before you travel, say mentally: 'Thank You, Allah, for this means of transport' and use that trip for a useful action.
