نِعْمَة
This verse invites us to recognize means of transport as a divine blessing.
وَخَلَقۡنَا لَهُم مِّن مِّثۡلِهِۦ مَا يَرۡكَبُونَ
And We created for them from the likes of it that which they ride.
Quran, Yaseen 36:42
In this passage, Allah reminds that after carrying humans on the ship, He created for them other means of transport. These “likes” refer to mounts and vehicles that ease our travel. This verse thus brings together several blessings: the creation of the ship and that of other means of transport. Every day, we use cars, buses, trains, or bicycles without thinking. Yet these means are a mercy from Allah. Recognizing them helps us be grateful and use these blessings with moderation and respect.
Today, before taking any transport, say inwardly “Alhamdulillah” and thank Allah for this blessing.
