رَحْمَة
This verse reminds us that Allah's mercy is the reason for our survival and our blessings.
إِلَّا رَحۡمَةٗ مِّنَّا وَمَتَٰعًا إِلَىٰ حِينٖ
Except as a mercy from Us and provision for a time.
Quran, Yaseen 36:44
In the previous verse, Allah mentions the punishment He could inflict. Here, He specifies that only His mercy spares people and grants them temporary enjoyment. Thus, every moment of life and every blessing are gifts from His goodness. In the face of difficulties, we can hope in His mercy while remaining mindful of His warnings. This hope encourages us to be grateful and to live with humility.
Today, take a moment to thank Allah for a specific blessing, recognizing that it is by His mercy that you enjoy it.
