And at night, will you not reason?

This verse invites us to use our reason to meditate on the signs of Allah.

أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ

Then will you not use reason?

Quran, As-Saaffaat 37:138

In this passage, Allah reminds us of the fate of past peoples. The previous verses mention that they pass by their ruins morning and evening. This verse concludes with a question: do they not reason? It is a call to reflect on these visible signs.

Every day, we see traces of Allah's power: the sunrise, the rain, nature. Yet we often pass by without thinking. This verse encourages us to pause and meditate on these wonders.

Today, observe an element of nature (a tree, the sky, an ant) and reflect on its creation for one minute.
