أَوَّاب
Today's verse presents Solomon as a model servant who constantly turns back to Allah.
نِعۡمَ ٱلۡعَبۡدُ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ
What an excellent servant! Indeed, he was repeatedly turning back [to Allah].
Quran, Saad 38:30
In this verse, Allah praises Solomon by calling him 'awwāb', meaning one who repeatedly turns back to Him. This word captures an attitude of the heart: not staying away from Allah, but returning to Him after every shortcoming. This quality is attributed to Solomon, but it invites us to cultivate the same reflex: as soon as we become aware of a mistake, we can turn to Allah with sincerity.
Today, as soon as you notice a fault or an oversight, say inwardly: 'I turn back to You, Allah' and resume your path with Him.
