إخلاص
This verse teaches us a profound lesson in sincerity.
قُلۡ مَآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٖ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلۡمُتَكَلِّفِينَ
Say, "I do not ask you for it any payment, and I am not of the pretentious."
Quran, Saad 38:86
In this verse, Allah tells the Prophet to declare that he does not ask for any payment for conveying the Quran. He also affirms that he is not an impostor. These two statements are combined to show that his mission is pure and selfless. We can apply this in our lives by striving to act sincerely, without expecting reward from people. Whether in our work, studies, or relationships, we can focus on the intention to do good.
Today, do a good deed secretly, without telling anyone, focusing only on the intention to please Allah.
