إخلاص
This verse reminds us that sincerity is at the heart of our relationship with Allah.
أَلَا لِلَّهِ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلۡخَالِصُۚ
Unquestionably, for Allah is the pure religion.
Quran, Az-Zumar 39:3
The verse affirms that pure religion, meaning sincere worship, belongs to Allah alone. It then mentions people who seek intermediaries to bring them closer to Him, but Allah will judge their differences and does not guide those who lie and are ungrateful. In our daily lives, we might sometimes seek indirect means to get closer to Allah, such as people or objects. This verse invites us to turn directly to Him with a sincere heart.
