إخلاص
This verse teaches us to devote our worship exclusively to Allah.
قُلِ ٱللَّهَ أَعۡبُدُ مُخۡلِصٗا لَّهُۥ دِينِي
Say, "Allah [alone] do I worship, sincere to Him in my religion."
Quran, Az-Zumar 39:14
In this verse, Allah instructs the Prophet to declare that he worships Him alone, with sincerity. The word 'mukhlisan' indicates that worship is pure, without mixture. The following verse shows that those who worship other than Allah will be losers, highlighting the importance of this exclusivity. In our daily lives, we may sometimes seek the approval of others in our actions. This verse reminds us to purify our intention and do everything for Allah. This gives deep meaning to our deeds.
Today, before doing a good deed, say inwardly: 'I do this for Allah alone.'
