قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا
This verse reminds us that the Qur'an is revealed in Arabic, without any crookedness, to help us become righteous.
قُرۡءَانًا عَرَبِيًّا غَيۡرَ ذِي عِوَجٖ لَّعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَّقُونَ
An Arabic Qur'an, without any deviance, that they might become righteous.
Quran, Az-Zumar 39:28
The previous verse says that God has cited examples in the Qur'an so that people may remember. Here, He specifies that this Qur'an is in Arabic, without any deviation or contradiction. This clarity is a call to piety: to understand the message and act upon it. Even if we do not master Arabic, reading or listening to the Qur'an in Arabic connects us to its original beauty. It invites us to seek its meaning and let the message touch us.
Today, listen to or read a short passage of the Qur'an in Arabic, then reflect on its meaning in English.
