صِدْق
This verse associates truth with piety.
وَٱلَّذِي جَآءَ بِٱلصِّدۡقِ وَصَدَّقَ بِهِۦٓ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُتَّقُونَ
And the one who has brought the truth and [they who] believed in it - those are the righteous.
Quran, Az-Zumar 39:33
The verse brings together two people: the one who brings the truth and the one who confirms it. Both are described as righteous. The truth here is the prophetic message, as shown by the previous verse which speaks of denying the truth when it comes. In our daily lives, we can be among those who receive the truth and acknowledge it. Welcoming a true word, even from a simple person, is a sign of piety.
Today, reflect on a truth you have received and thank Allah for enabling you to recognize it.
