أَعْدِلَ
This verse teaches us a golden rule for our relationships.
وَأُمِرۡتُ لِأَعۡدِلَ بَيۡنَكُمُۖ
And I have been commanded to do justice among you.
Quran, Ash-Shura 42:15
In this verse, Allah commands the Prophet to call to faith, to remain steadfast, and not to follow desires. Then He orders him to be fair among people, even those who do not share his belief. Fairness does not depend on agreement; it is a duty towards everyone. The verse also reminds us that each person will be judged by their deeds and that Allah will gather us all. We do not have to settle disputes ourselves; the final judgment belongs to Him. This invites us to remain humble and to leave room for divine justice.
Today, in a discussion or conflict, listen to the other side and decide impartially, without favoritism.
