حَرْثُ الْآخِرَةِ
This verse invites us to direct our efforts toward the harvest of the Hereafter.
مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرۡثَ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ نَزِدۡ لَهُۥ فِي حَرۡثِهِۦۖ
Whoever desires the harvest of the Hereafter - We increase for him in his harvest.
Quran, Ash-Shura 42:20
The verse compares our deeds to a crop. Whoever aims for the reward of the Hereafter sees Allah multiply his efforts. In contrast, the one who seeks only immediate pleasures gets a share of them, but has nothing left for eternity. In our daily life, every sincere intention counts. Before acting, we can ask ourselves: am I seeking Allah’s pleasure or only an immediate gain? This simple question recenters the heart.
Today, do a good deed silently, only for Allah, and note it in your heart as a seed for the Hereafter.
