تَرْكَبُونَ
This verse invites us to see our means of transport as a gift from Allah.
وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡفُلۡكِ وَٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِ مَا تَرۡكَبُونَ
and has made for you of ships and animals those which you mount
Quran, Az-Zukhruf 43:12
Allah reminds us that He created all species and placed at our disposal mounts, such as ships and animals. This verse follows the mention of rain reviving the earth, and precedes the call to remember the favor by saying: 'Exalted is He who has subjected this to us'. Thus, the ability to travel is a divine blessing. Today, our mounts also include cars, trains, or planes. Using them while being aware that Allah has facilitated them for us is a sign of gratitude. A simple thought of thankfulness transforms our daily life.
Before departing or when boarding any means of transport, say inwardly: 'Alhamdulillah' to thank Allah for this facility.
