سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا
When we board a means of transport, we can acknowledge Allah's kindness.
سُبۡحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُۥ مُقۡرِنِينَ
Exalted is He who has subjected this to us, and we could not have otherwise subdued it.
Quran, Az-Zukhruf 43:13
This verse teaches us to say: 'Glory to the One Who has subjected this to us' once we are settled on a mount or in a vehicle. It reminds us that these means of transport are a blessing from Allah, for we could not master them on our own. In our daily lives, whenever we take a car, bus, or train, we can pause to recognize this blessing. This simple phrase helps us stay aware of Allah's generosity and express our gratitude to Him.
Today, when you settle into a means of transport, say: 'Subhana alladhi sakhkhara lana hadha' (Glory to the One Who has subjected this to us).
