ظلم
This verse reminds us that God did not wrong those people, but it was they who wronged themselves.
وَمَا ظَلَمۡنَٰهُمۡ وَلَٰكِن كَانُواْ هُمُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
And We did not wrong them, but it was they who were the wrongdoers.
Quran, Az-Zukhruf 43:76
In this passage, Allah speaks of those who face punishment. He clarifies that He did not wrong them. Their injustice caused their punishment. They chose evil and bear the responsibility. This truth also concerns us. When we face consequences of our actions, we may be tempted to complain. But this verse invites us to look at our choices. We can change direction today.
