كِتَاب
This verse reminds us that every action is recorded in a Book that will speak about us in all truth.
هَٰذَا كِتَٰبُنَا يَنطِقُ عَلَيۡكُم بِٱلۡحَقِّۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا نَسۡتَنسِخُ مَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ
This, Our record, speaks about you in truth. Indeed, We were having transcribed whatever you used to do.
Quran, Al-Jaathiya 45:29
In this verse, Allah announces that a Book will testify about our deeds. This Book hides nothing and makes no mistake: it tells the truth about what we have done. The previous verse shows that every community will be called to its record, and the next one mentions mercy for those who believed and did righteous deeds. This reminder invites us to realize that our actions, even discreet ones, are recorded. This should not frighten us, but encourage us to act with sincerity and kindness, knowing that nothing is lost.
Today, take a moment to write down a good deed you would like to do, then do it, even if it is small.
