This verse links knowing Allah's oneness with seeking His forgiveness.
So know that there is no deity except Allah and ask forgiveness for your sin and for the believing men and believing women.
Quran, Muhammad 47:19
The verse begins with a certainty: there is no deity but Allah. It then invites us to seek forgiveness for ourselves and for all believers, men and women. This act of seeking forgiveness is simple and can be done daily. In our daily lives, we can turn to Allah at any moment. Asking forgiveness for ourselves and others reminds us of our connection to Him and to the community.
Today, say once: 'Astaghfirullah' for yourself, then for all believing men and women.
