صِدْق
This verse invites us to be sincere towards Allah, especially in decisive moments.
فَلَوۡ صَدَقُواْ ٱللَّهَ لَكَانَ خَيۡرٗا لَّهُمۡ
If they had been true to Allah, it would have been better for them.
Quran, Muhammad 47:21
In this verse, Allah mentions people who, when facing an important decision, were not sincere in their obedience and words. He states that if they had been true to Him, it would have been better for them. Sincerity (sidq) is thus a precious quality that brings good. We can take from this an invitation to be sincere in our actions and words, seeking to please Allah. This helps us stay consistent and upright, even when choices are difficult.
Today, before acting or speaking, ask yourself: 'Am I sincere towards Allah in this action?' Then perform a small action with that intention.
