This verse teaches us the value of patience before acting.
And if they had been patient until you [could] come out to them, it would have been better for them. But Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
Quran, Al-Hujuraat 49:5
In this verse, Allah mentions people who called the Prophet ﷺ impatiently. He tells them that being patient until he came out to them would have been better for them. Thus, patience is better than hasty action. In our daily lives, we may be tempted to act quickly, for example by replying immediately to a message or making a decision. This verse invites us to step back and be patient, as it is often more beneficial.
Today, before replying to a message or making a decision, take a minute of patience and reflection.
