فَضْل
This verse reminds us that faith is a gift from Allah.
فَضۡلٗا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَنِعۡمَةٗۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٞ
as bounty from Allah and favor. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.
Quran, Al-Hujuraat 49:8
The previous verse describes how Allah made faith beloved to our hearts and made disbelief hateful. This verse concludes that this is a bounty and favor from Him. Allah knows what is good for us and acts with wisdom. Recognizing that our faith is a gift makes us humble and grateful. We did not create our faith by ourselves; it is Allah who guided us. This awareness encourages us to preserve this blessing by seeking to please Him.
