مَنَّة
This verse reminds us that faith is a gift from Allah, not a merit to boast about.
بَلِ ٱللَّهُ يَمُنُّ عَلَيۡكُمۡ أَنۡ هَدَىٰكُمۡ لِلۡإِيمَٰنِ
Rather, Allah confers His favor upon you that He has guided you to the faith.
Quran, Al-Hujuraat 49:17
In this verse, Allah corrects an attitude: some thought their conversion was a favor done to the Prophet. Allah tells them that it is He who has done them a favor by guiding them to faith. Guidance is a divine gift, not a personal achievement. Today, we might fall into the same trap by boasting about our religious practices. This verse invites us to humility: every step towards Allah is a grace. Instead of being proud, we can express gratitude for this guidance.
Today, thank Allah with a short supplication for your faith, for example: 'Alhamdulillah for guidance.'
