شُكْر
This verse reminds us that Allah rewards those who are grateful to Him.
نِّعۡمَةٗ مِّنۡ عِندِنَاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي مَن شَكَرَ
As a favor from Us. Thus do We reward he who is grateful.
Quran, Al-Qamar 54:35
In this passage, Allah mentions the rescue of Lot's family as a favor from Him. He associates this favor with the reward He gives to those who are grateful. The verse thus illustrates the reward of gratitude through the rescue of Lot's family. In our daily lives, we receive many blessings from Allah. Expressing our gratitude means recognizing these blessings and thanking Him for them. This can be shown through words, actions, or simply being aware.
Today, take a moment to thank Allah for a specific blessing, for example by saying 'Alhamdulillah' sincerely.
