Every Deed is Recorded

This verse reminds us that nothing we do escapes divine recording.

وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٖ وَكَبِيرٖ مُّسۡتَطَرٌ

And every small and great [thing] is inscribed.

Quran, Al-Qamar 54:53

In this passage, Allah affirms that everything people do is noted in records. The previous verse confirms this, and this one specifies that it includes both small and great actions. The word 'mustatar' evokes a clear and established writing.

This certainty invites us to be mindful of our daily choices, even the simplest ones. Every word, every gesture matters. We can act with more awareness and sincerity.

Today, before acting, ask yourself: 'Would I be proud if this action were recorded?' Then perform a good deed, even a small one.
