Speech, a gift from Allah

Allah has taught man clear expression, a precious gift.

عَلَّمَهُ ٱلۡبَيَانَ

He taught him eloquence.

Quran, Ar-Rahmaan 55:4

In this verse, Allah reminds that He created man and then taught him bayan, the ability to express himself clearly. This gift allows sharing thoughts, understanding, and being understood. It is one of the divine blessings, just like creation itself.

Using speech rightly is therefore a responsibility. Each day, we can choose words that enlighten, soothe, and build, rather than confused or hurtful words.

Today, before speaking, take a second to formulate a clear and kind sentence, whether to thank, explain, or encourage.
