طُغْيَان
This verse reminds us not to exceed limits in our transactions.
أَلَّا تَطۡغَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡمِيزَانِ
That you not transgress within the balance
Quran, Ar-Rahmaan 55:8
Allah has set up the balance as a symbol of justice. Here, He asks us not to be excessive or unjust when weighing or measuring. This concerns our daily exchanges, like buying, selling, or providing a service. In our life, this means being honest and precise, whether in giving change, respecting a schedule, or giving our fair share. Avoiding excess and injustice preserves trust and harmony.
Today, check a measurement or weight in a transaction (for example, while cooking or giving change) and make sure it is exact.
