إِحْسَان
This verse invites us to reflect on Allah's generosity.
هَلۡ جَزَآءُ ٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنُ
Is the reward for good [anything] but good?
Quran, Ar-Rahmaan 55:60
In this verse, Allah asks a question: can the reward for good be anything other than good? He teaches us that every good deed will be repaid with equivalent kindness. The preceding and following verses repeat: "So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?" This emphasizes that Allah's generosity is immense and deserves our gratitude. This principle applies to our daily lives. When we do good around us, we sow seeds of kindness. We do not know when or how, but Allah promises to return good. This encourages us to act sincerely, without expecting immediate thanks.
Today, perform a discreet good deed for someone, like helping a neighbor or making a donation, keeping in mind that Allah rewards good with good.
