الْعِلْم
This verse links faith and knowledge to an elevation by Allah.
يَرۡفَعِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنكُمۡ وَٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡعِلۡمَ دَرَجَٰتٖ
Allah will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge, by degrees.
Quran, Al-Mujadila 58:11
In this verse, Allah asks believers to make space in gatherings and to rise when asked. In return, He promises to raise in degrees those who believe and those who have been given knowledge. The verse brings together faith and knowledge as two sources of elevation. In daily life, this elevation can be shown by respecting others and seeking knowledge. Making space is also a sign of humility and consideration. Knowledge is cultivated through continuous learning.
Today, give up your seat to someone in a gathering or transport, and reflect on a useful knowledge to learn.
