مَنَّاع
This verse warns us against a behavior that harms the community.
مَّنَّاعٖ لِّلۡخَيۡرِ مُعۡتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ
A preventer of good, transgressing and sinful
Quran, Al-Qalam 68:12
In Surah Al-Qalam, Allah describes a man with bad habits. He is called a 'great preventer of good': he blocks useful actions and generosity. He also transgresses limits and commits great sins. This portrait invites us to reflect on our own attitude. We can all sometimes discourage a good initiative or hinder a generous impulse. This verse encourages us to instead be facilitators of good, respecting rules and acting with integrity.
Today, encourage a positive action: offer your help for a useful project or support a charitable initiative.
