The Night, a Time to Refocus

This verse reminds us that the day is filled with occupations, and the night offers a favorable moment for devotion.

إِنَّ لَكَ فِي ٱلنَّهَارِ سَبۡحٗا طَوِيلٗا

Indeed, for you by day is prolonged occupation.

Quran, Al-Muzzammil 73:7

Verse 7 of Surah Al-Muzzammil indicates that the day is devoted to long occupations. The previous verse emphasizes that night prayer is more effective for recitation, and the following verse invites one to devote oneself entirely to Allah. Thus, the night is presented as a favorable time to turn to Him.

In our daily lives, we are often busy with work, studies, or household tasks. This verse encourages us to find a quiet moment, like the night, to refocus spiritually, even briefly.
