صَبْر
This verse calls us to patience, an essential quality for the believer.
وَلِرَبِّكَ فَٱصۡبِرۡ
But for your Lord be patient.
Quran, Al-Muddaththir 74:7
In this verse, Allah commands the Prophet ﷺ to be patient for Him. The previous verse speaks of not giving to receive more, and the next mentions the day when the trumpet is blown. Thus, patience is required in efforts and hardships, with the aim of Allah's pleasure. In our lives, we face trials and difficult tasks. This verse encourages us to persevere, not for people's recognition, but for Allah. Today, we can choose a difficulty and accomplish it with patience, keeping in mind that it is for Him.
Identify a difficult task today and accomplish it with patience, dedicating it to Allah.
