تَقَدَّمَ
This verse reminds us that we are free to choose our path.
أَن يَتَقَدَّمَ أَوۡ يَتَأَخَّرَ
For whoever among you wills to proceed or stay behind.
Quran, Al-Muddaththir 74:37
In Surah Al-Muddaththir, Allah announces that the Quran is a warning to humanity. Verse 37 specifies that each person can benefit from it: moving forward toward good or falling behind. The next verse adds that every soul is accountable for what it has earned. Thus, our trajectory depends on our choices. Every day, we decide our actions. Sometimes we hesitate between progressing or staying back. This verse invites us to be aware of this freedom and to use it to improve ourselves, without pressure or guilt.
Today, choose one small positive action and do it, such as helping someone or reading a few verses.
