يَتَمَطَّى
This verse describes an arrogant attitude that we should avoid.
يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ
swaggering [in pride]
Quran, Al-Qiyaama 75:33
In this passage, the verse describes someone who, after rejecting the truth, goes to his people swaggering. The word 'yatamaṭṭā' evokes a proud and arrogant gait. The following verse announces woe for this attitude, showing that pride displeases Allah. In our daily lives, we may sometimes adopt a proud attitude without even realizing it. Humility, on the contrary, is a valued quality. Today, we can make an effort to be more modest in our gestures and words.
Today, as you walk, pay attention to your posture and attitude: keep a humble and modest demeanor.
