إخلاص
This verse teaches us sincerity in giving.
إِنَّمَا نُطۡعِمُكُمۡ لِوَجۡهِ ٱللَّهِ لَا نُرِيدُ مِنكُمۡ جَزَآءٗ وَلَا شُكُورًا
"We feed you only for the countenance of Allah. We wish not from you reward or gratitude."
Quran, Al-Insaan 76:9
In this passage, believers offer food to the needy, the orphan, and the captive. They clarify their intention: they act only for Allah, without expecting any return or thanks. This attitude is an example of ikhlāṣ, pure sincerity. In our daily lives, we can do good without seeking recognition or reward. Giving for Allah alone frees the heart and purifies the intention.
Today, perform a discreet act of kindness, like helping someone without telling anyone, remembering that you do it for Allah.
