صبر
This verse reveals the magnificent reward for those who are patient.
وَجَزَىٰهُم بِمَا صَبَرُواْ جَنَّةٗ وَحَرِيرٗا
And will reward them for what they patiently endured [with] a garden [in Paradise] and silk [garments].
Quran, Al-Insaan 76:12
In this passage, Allah describes the reward of the believers: He protects them from the evil of that Day and grants them radiance and happiness. Then He specifies that this reward is due to their patience. The word 'ṣabr' here means steadfastness in obedience and endurance in the face of hardship. This patience is not passive; it shows in our daily actions, such as persevering in prayer, remaining kind despite trials, or continuing to do good even when it is difficult. In return, Allah promises Paradise and silk garments, symbols of honor and eternal delight.
Today, identify a difficulty you are facing and choose to respond to it with patience, remembering that this steadfastness leads to Allah's reward.
