سُجُودٌ وَتَسْبِيحٌ
This verse invites us to devote part of the night to prostration and glorification of Allah.
وَمِنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ فَٱسۡجُدۡ لَهُۥ وَسَبِّحۡهُ لَيۡلٗا طَوِيلًا
And during the night prostrate to Him and exalt Him a long [part of the] night.
Quran, Al-Insaan 76:26
The verse follows the command to mention God's name morning and evening. It now adds a nightly dimension: prostrating and glorifying Allah during the night. These actions are presented together, without explaining their meaning, but they show the importance of worshipping Him at night as well. In our daily lives, we can choose a moment at night, even a short one, to turn to Allah. This could be before sleeping or after a break. The key is to dedicate a moment to Him, in all simplicity.
Tonight, before sleeping, take a few minutes to prostrate and say words of glorification, such as 'Subḥān Allah'.
