سَرَائِر
This verse reminds us that one day, everything we hide will be disclosed.
يَوۡمَ تُبۡلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ
The Day when secrets will be put on trial
Quran, At-Taariq 86:9
Allah mentions a Day when secrets will be revealed. This verse follows the one affirming that Allah is able to bring man back to life, and precedes the one stating that man will have no power or helper. Thus, on that Day, our hidden deeds will be exposed. In our daily lives, we may sometimes act differently in public and in private. This verse invites us to cultivate inner consistency, to act with sincerity even when no one sees us.
Today, choose one action that you will do solely for Allah, without seeking to be seen or praised.
